Thanks for sharing! Good stuff here. In my view just like there was a cultural big bang, there could have been a consciousness one as well as Jaynes describes. This doesn't necessarily mean they are the same time or one caused the other. Furthermore one does not have to consider it as a big jump of an emergent property of consciousness, since we already experience, to a mild degree, an experience of inner voice and also of being suggested something (eg moral conscience)
